Avalanche set - basic equipment for freeriding
The avalanche set is your companion on excursions into open terrain, especially in high snow conditions. The avalanche set consists of the following three components:
- Beep: For easier location of the buried person
- Probe: To determine the location and depth of the buried person
- Shovel: For digging out people who have been buried
With this set you are prepared in the event of an avalanche. The beep makes it easier to find out exactly the location where the buried person is. With the probe included in the set, the position within the snow can be identified. Then the shovel is used to dig out the person as quickly as possible.
Note: Of course, the avalanche set is also not a guaranteed safety in the event of an avalanche. Before you set out on your excursion, please always pay attention to the current avalanche warning levels. Our staff will be happy to provide you with informations before you pick up your equipment in our shops.

The avalanche backpack with integrated airbag – better safe than sorry
In addition to the avalanche set, we also recommend the avalanche backpack for tours in deeply snow-covered areas. In the event of an avalanche, the airbag integrated in the backpack is opened by pushing the attached handlebar. The airbag can reduce the risk of being drawn in by avalanches and being buried under the snow. In addition, the avalanche backpack impresses with the following essential core functions:
- Low weight despite the integrated airbag
- Waterproof coating with high material flexibility
- Special holding device for the avalanche set
Due to its low weight, the backpack does not limit your moveability, but provides reliable protection when it is needed. We recommend the combination of the avalanche set and the airbag backpack. So you are not only always well prepared, but also as safe as possible in the backcountry or off-piste.
